The pre- AGM Education Day seems to have now taken on a life of it’s own. This year, the Education day will not only offer the communicator training from the Unite for Fairness Campaign from the Canadian Labour Congress, but will also provide important information for that will hopefully support Area Reps in doing their job and will give members some better insight into how our Local operates. In addition to delivering some very important knowledge, the day this year will also be filled with surprise guest speakers who should help to keep everyone motivated in playing an active role in their union. And If you know me at all there will likely be an introduction that is a bit too long..but this year it may or may not involve a deck of cards.

Bursary

For 2014 the Bursary Committee received 3 applications. All applications were of very high quality and all three received a bursary this year. We would like to congratulate Jasmine Lai, Annie Girdler, and Reuben Neufeldt who will be receiving funds to help them in their studies this year. Thank you to all the applicants in their success at receiving a bursary. We wish you the best in your future endeavours.
