The new responsibility of the Pension Plan Board of Trustees has provided education
opportunities for myself, and greater insight for my union and the Board. The initial month has added a tremendous number of meetings and training dates. Including the following:

• BC Public Sector Pension Conference
• BCImc Fundamental Investment Workshop Session
• Investment information on Environmental/Social/Governance ESG
• Invitation to tour the Alberta Oil Sands

Due to my appointment to the Board of Trustees, our local can send a new delegate to the
Public Service Pension Plan Advisory Committee biannual meetings. The next meeting is
November 12, 2015.

Furthermore, I have been approached by members from CUPE BC to join the CUPE BC
Pension Committee. The deadline to apply is May 30th, 2015.
