The Union filed a grievance relating to section 15.04 of the Collective agreement. This section clearly states the probation periods for newly hired employees and to which job classifications they pertain to. The employer had been utilizing a different approach in determination of probation periods. This was resolved at step 2 with the agreement to follow the collective agreement, and any changes from that should be made at the bargaining table.
