With the financial year end fast approaching the current budget numbers are close to what we will see at this years AGM. For the year we didn’t attend as many conventions or seminars as we originally thought and as such have only spent about half of what we intended to. We ended up affiliating with only 2 of the 7 district councils (Vancouver Island and OMDC) for various reasons. We will continue to look at Metro and Kootenay District Council for finalizing affiliation and dropping the rest due to minimal benefit to our local.
The accounts receivable line item is with regards to money that we are expecting to receive from CUPE National to refund payroll money paid to Trent Snikkers for his initial term as a National Rep.
Overall we are slightly on the plus for revenues and low on the expenditures with a potential to exceed our planned surplus of $18,000+.
I have already received notification for several attendees to the AGM. This is great and the earliest I’ve seen them come in. Keep them coming and if you are attending please ensure your credential forms are completed and sent in prior to August 31st. We also have a few applicants for the wildcard delegates, keep those in mind as well.
